Assessment of analytical bias: four new ways to use recovery measurements.
نویسنده
چکیده
I describe three ways of using data from analytical-recovery studies to assess analytical nonlinearity, without access to samples of known concentration. I then describe a recovery-based method of assessing constant, proportional, and non-linear errors with use of as little as one sample pool of known concentration. In each case, I present the theoretical basis of the method and an outline of a practical experimental protocol.

Comparison of Two Veterinary Blood Glucose Meters and One Human-Based Glucose Meter for Use in Dogs
Background: Recently, tendency to use veterinary specific Portable blood glucose meter (PBGMs) has increased. However, assessment of their analytical and clinical accuracy is a matter of concern. OBJECTIVES: To assess accuracy of two veterinary (AlphaTRAK2 and CERA-PET) and one human-based (Bionime) PBGMs for canine blood samples. METHODS: In this cross-sectional study, a total of 160 client-ow...
متن کاملA new method for determination of frothability of frothers by using water recovery measurement
A new method was introduced for frothing characterization of flotation frothers. Method uses water recovery to develop a new frothability index named water recovery index (WRI). New index was determined for some commercial frothers and results were compared with dynamic frothability index (DFI). Results showed that water recovery index values follow the order of A-65 13016 s/mol > DF-250 6292.4...
متن کاملPhysical Vulnerability Assessment of the Hashtgerd New Town against a Probable Earthquake
Aims & Backgrounds: The occurrence of earthquakes in urban areas, have destructive effects, and the inhabitants are increasingly suffering from their harmful impacts. It appears that preparing proactive planning before the disaster occurrence, may reduce damages, casualties and financial losses. This paper aims to identify the vulnerability of the physical fabric of Hashtgerd new town against a...
متن کاملStandard Addition Connected to Selective Zone Discovering for Quantification in the Unknown Mixtures
Univariate calibration method is a simple, cheap and easy to use procedure in analytical chemistry. A univariate analysis will be successful if a selective signal can be found for the analyte(s). In this work, two simple ways were used to find the selective signals, spectral ratio plot (SRP) and loading plot (LP). Both of them were able to discover the selective regions in the recorded data set...
متن کاملA Novel Approach to Measuring Water and Oil Relative Permeabilities in Two-phase Fluid Flow in Porous Media
In this study, direct laboratory measurements of unsteady-state imbibition test are used in a new approach to obtain relative permeability curves with no predetermined functionality assumptions. Four equations of continuity, Darcy’s law, cumulative oil production, and water fractional flow are employed in combination together under certain assumptions to present the new approach which interpret...
